Yes Rashed, I am glad to show the beauty of my surroundings. The change is always fun to watch this time of year. We have late storms thru June that can drop large amounts of snow. Always looks good in the fresh white. Thanks for your thoughts, and kind words.

Thanks a lot for the contentful info, Stan, both about the making as also about the software! Now I must look if they sell the program without a camera too.
The light, as it came on the clouds under that clarity of the air, did much work in providing necessary shadows and highlights for plasticity here. It was a very good idea to stop and try some shots.
Sure I would be glad if you could send me a copy! It will be such a good one for my small collection of images that I hang over my desk. Thanks a lot for that!

Hi Ania, it is trying to become spring, but the late storms are making it come later. Some of the spring birds have been showing up only in time for another snow storm. We had some rain earlier this week. The snow cover has left the lower elevations but still have 3-4 meters depth of snow in the mountains. Nice to hear from you. I hope all is well and am so glad to keep seeing your work on the front page. You are doing some really nice work. My congrats to you. Have a great Easter my friend.

Nice crop Nick, I hoped you would like this one. It was shot on the same day as the other Pano I posted, but was east of where the other one was shot from. This was looking south from the road I was traveling home on. The clouds are hanging over the Bear Trap Canyon of the Madison River. I was real happy with the clarity and colors in this. I use a program that came with my Canon called Image Browser. I think that it would work as a stand alone program for some editing and stitching. I usually shoot in Raw, convert to jpeg in Photoshop, use image browser for the stitch and then do final edit in Photoshop. I would send you a copy if you would like.

Thanks Arian, this is a good time of year for fast weather changes and dramatic clouds. I have been playing with different ways for shooting panoramas with out the expensive brackets for my tripod. I have been having some good success with some of my hand panned ones so far. Have a great Easter with your family.

Even better than the other one, Stan! This one has that little bit of "byte" in it, as the sense for direction and perspective got much stronger! The atmosphere is much closer to that kind of "white desert without end", and so it really caughted the attitude of the place.
The good details in the foreground do much work for putting a description of the vastness of the scenery. The background clouds add much to that too with their strong contours and well defined shapes. Their contours have good and clean contrasts, and also good plasticity because your exposure balance kept the shadows and the highlights that generate a three-dimensional impression.
A great stich again. I would only consider decentering it a little bit. (Attachment.)
