About Here I think that the "snaky" appearance was better achieved than on the previous one. A double exposure with slow shutter and long shifts of the camera during exposure. Any comments would be very welcome.

Feels freezing since decades

X1

Lazy bicycle ride

... and those who work in deepest night

On the old wall

Flights in the blues

Dark windows

The land of the permanent wish to make it on time

In front of the train

On the balcony

Thanks a lot, Visar!

Thanks to the 55Hz frequency of alternating current these neon lights themselves do not emit light continuously but rather in quick pulses that are just too fast to be noticed. When they stand we see a continuous light source. But when they move, or when we move the camera instead, we will see the frozen splits of the second when they go on and then off, and then on, etc. And so the film just burns on the places where they were on during the camera motion.

You can see that with your own eyes too, Visar. Many times, when you sit in the train, and it moves with a big speed, you will see the small lights (for example in tunnels) not as continuous traces but rather as a "dashed line". This is the easiest way to test it they are normal "hot wire" lights or pulsing neon lights.

And of course there is a good potential with such lights. Who knows what kind of images ine can shoot...

Cheers!

I also find it better than the other one, Turi.

The objects are... just lights. Electric lights on the streets in the night, a slow shutter and some shift/rotation of the camera. If they are neon lights they do not emit continuously but they are rather pulsing at 55Hz (frequency of the alternating current). That's all.

Cheers!

indeed, this has a strong implication on snake-like-look.

the minimal sources of light in the dark have done the trick very well to support your idea Nick, but what i find very striking, and unexplainable, is the precise repetition of light jerking and not being stretched!
how could this be Nick!!?

anyhow, a very interesting work!

cheers,
v.
