Photo of a covered bridge taken in the Eastern Townships in Quebec. I like the area because it is still rural in many areas with a lot of interesting old bridges and buildings. Any comments appreciated. thanks.
There is another one (i think), just past Wakefield I believe (take a look at the steam engine in my portfolio, I rode that train to I think Wakefield where they turn the engine, there is a covered bridge just on the other end of the town - red I think). I like the tones you went with, giving it a more interesting look than a colour version IMO. The detail on the bridge seems to peter out a bit, after the middle - maybe a smaller apature would have helped here.Quite an interesting photo tho, I do like it - I very very rarely get to see one.
Alan, the bridge is located on the road between "Gould" and "Weedon Centre". That is about 50 KM Northeast of Sherbrooke. I have seen the bridge you mention but I feel find it on a map sometime. Thanks.
I like this shot because it is so detailed, it has texture. Where exactly is this bridge in the Eastern Townships? Have you ever see the one at Powerscourt QC? It is quite nice too, but not so long. Built in 1863. Alan Mead. Franklin QC.
