I can see why you are moved by this, John, I am, too. He's such a wonderful character, and his pose and expression reveal a lifetime. But what really strikes me here is how well you've composed this. Every line seems to move in the right direction and lead to the next line without fail or break. A real pleasure to view.

Very strong emotions are conveyed here. I feel lonliness, agedness, sadness, isolation... but those emotions are left to the viewers interpretation. Stunning work.
