Ah yes. The ole mighty dollar and lack of time paradox again. Well, if money is not an issue and you're happy doing what you do, then soldier on. At least we'll get to reap the benefits of your outings, albeit once a week.
I have to travel 300 miles in one direction and 500 miles in the other just to see some hills or trees higher than 40 feet, but that's Texas for you. Eleven million square miles of . . . dirt.

Thanks, Graham! All three photos (there are many more) were taken within a half hour of each other, at the same place. The "model" in the image is a photographer friend who was inadvertently getting into my shot. At first I cursed him, but then saw the opportunity!
No I am not selling since no one in my neck of the woods, wants to pay for fine art prints. (I might sell one framed print a year!) My local exposure is limited, therefore, internet sales are a potential - which I have not tapped. I don't have web design skills but have thought of exploring sites like smugmug or zenfolio which offer sales.
I am retired, belong to a photo club and do enter in national competitions through CAPA (Canadian Association for Photographic Arts.) There are (amateur) photographer friends with whom I plan the occasional outing. Usually I work alone and try to activate the shutter once a week or so! My energy and time is limited so I do worry that if I were to promote myself and push sales, the fun will be gone!

Oh, wow! What can I say?
The whole photography thing has just 'clicked' for you, Eb, hasn't it?
Now THIS is what good photography is all about. A wonderful composition, great contrasts and perfect division of thirds makes this an award winner. Picture it on National Geographic, which, by the way, you should be considering!
