Withered rocks line the side of the river that is spanned by one of the last swinging bridges in Texas. Near by, there are large holes dug into the stone, about 8 inches in diameter and 12 inches deep, carved out by Native Americans. It is thought that they used these holes or "bowls" like a mortar and pestle to pulverize grains and other material for food. What a stunning view to have while working to put food on the table (or under the tent.) f8.0, 1/25s, ISO 100
P.S. Sorry for the compressed jpegs on the last 3 images. I just noticed them. I've been resizing my Jpgs to 1600 pixels on the longest side for better detail on my website and the re-resizing here is terrible. I assure you that the original .tiffs are tack sharp and full of detail. I will play around with the sizing a bit more to optimize the quality here on usefilm... um, Imageopolis. Thanks
