No offense intended, but the photo is largely over-exposed. And not very sharp. Unfortunately, this piece just doesn't match the quality of your other images.

I love the bug! The flower is knapweed. I hope you pulled it up!

An excellent capture with great colours and perfect details. The sunlight is perfect used. The DOF is excellent. Very nice macro with rich colours and details. Regards, Hayri

Hi Barbara, nice image well presented...I too have some photos of this bug which I took at a site of special scientific interest last week...took them on 35mm and haven't had the film developed yet; they are really beautiful aren't they.

It doesn't look soft to me, or at least not the wings. The furry head might be a little soft but it doesn't look bad. I like the composition and DOF. The background appears just a little grainy too me but I don't mind. What I don't like is the light, really strong on the flower and on the left in general. I find the red spots on the wings to be the most attractive part of the picture, but the purple flower grabs a lot of attentions away from them. Bye,Luca

Hmm, good subject. Nice that ya noticed that. Good composition and colours. But the bug seems a little soft. Regards.
