Hi John, Burghead is one of my most favourite villages in Scotland ( I courted a lasse from Embo). Loved the point atop the hill too, great views across to IG and the rugged coastline.
Your image of the dock could have been spectacular were it not for a few minor flaws: The dock wall in the foreground is a distraction - Unavoidable on the spur of the moment with no tripod you used it as a base, unfortunately the camera has moved significantly enough to cause a slight blur (finger pressure or shutter). Whilst the wall can be edited out by cropping, the blur cannot. Also, the wall not being level, perspective and the WA distortion has caused everything to lean to the right. Again, this and the contrast can be adjusted in PhotoShop. Worth trying again John, but next time go prepared with a tripod and make the lens do what you want it to do. Hope this helps?
