The focus isn't all the way there, but everything else, including the composition is excellent! There are those who'll say the colors are too strong, but I've photographed in light that looked just like this. That's another thing, too, about intensity. It's not always about bring true colors, but colors that give an impression of what you're feeling and experiencing. Seeing colors and perceiving colors are two different things, don't you think?

Good depth of field on the subject. Nice macro work. I aquired a set of bellows for my Hassy, but haven't used them much, yet.
re. Mars: right now it is the bright orange/red dot to the right/west of the moon (looking south-left if you are deep in the southern hemisphere looking north). The moon is pulling away from Mars to the east. Mars'll be the brightest thing in the night sky after the moon.

I love Macros such as this. They require a lot of patience but are worth it! the background color is marvelous and really adds to the composition. Love the composition with each element just off center. Great job!

What a good catch! I've never had much luck capturing butterflies, but you did a really good job here with this litle guy! Love the blurred green background. Makes for a nice backdrop for the flower and butterfly. This is good work and hope to see more of these soon!!!

I like the contrast of the colors - green - red, and the butterfly neutral color wich is perfect on the flue background.
I knoe also that kind of pictures are hard to obtain.
