Hi John, Thanks for your nice reply, and for checking my portfolio!
Three days from being a daddy, fantastic. Yes, I had my children (4) trained in the 'fine art' of modeling, they get used to it. Although when my youngest got to where they didn't want to be the object of my photographic endevors, I paid them a 'modeling fee' and they were happy campers!!
I look forward to seeing some of your photos of your new little one!
Lori ;)

Lori,
I thank you for your comment on my Marble Madness and the rest of my portfolio. Though I am not a professional, I do take photography very seriously. I love to shot special effects however, I plan on opening a new series of shots since I am due to be a daddy in about three days. This new series will be very fun and challenging since for the most part I do have a somewhat full light setup. This poor child is going to have a sunburn from my alienbees going off all day and night while I try to capture pictures of the little guy.
By the way, I looked at your profile and your Portfolio. You do wonderful work.
Have a wonderful night and if you have time Pop into the Chatroom on this site and chat with us.

Excellent project, very well realized. Beautiful colors, mesmerizing view. I would really like to know more details, including whether the picture was manipulated with software or is it in its original state? Superb composition, Congratulations! Best regards, Alex

John,
I think this is well done but the DOF should be a little better. I think the shot works better if your focus was on the first marbel and then let the focus drift off to the last one. I like the lighting and the composition.

John, this is really a very cool photo and idea. Love your lighting. Or rather, your light. :-)
You have an awful lot of unused space here. I wonder how this would look with some of the top cropped out?

A good shot, although i personally would have preferred to have the first (from the left, that is) marble sharp. Not necessarily more depth of field, just a different point of focus. Still, must admit that your way is more original :).
