Hi Martin- exact same file. Just the difference with how the 2 sites interpret the pixels :) Thanks again. In truth, this is not the clearest of shots, but still. I'm not complaining about imageopolis. A lot of friendly people here. Cheers, G

Martin- I see there is a little noise here, and maybe looks a little over sharpened. See if you can see it here oh photo net- seems a little better. https://www.photo.net/photo/18393187/iris-top

Hi Martin- Thanks for all your input. The reason these were hi iso is that it was outside, not great sun and windy. IN order to get the dof I like, the f had to be around 14 (this site doesn't allow one to post actual figures, but it's close)so, I needed a little speed on the shutter to catch the thing. If you look through my portfolio, sometime back, you will see flowers with a black background. These were done inside, with iso of 50 and F anywhere from 18 to 32. Thanks for all your time. I'll have a look at the images you linked to. G

Hey Greg, I'm picking on you, but maybe this was not a macro lens kind of shot. I'm sure you can pull it off, but see this link below regarding macro and it might help?

Hope it helps my friend,

Hey Greg, Nice prime lens as I own one. Shutter seems correct as well as the f/ stop, but why the very high ISO at 1250? were you shooting in the dark with no flash or what?
Colors may be a little over popped and the grain with the high ISO brings a little more noise than one would like. However I love the centering, composition, background and overall shot. Maybe a little over the top on PS, but It's your shot. For that lens It should have been much sharper than it is. Mainly because to the high ISO. Use a tripod next time if the light is too low to get the perfect shot... With that lens I will give you a look at very little PS and A very low ISO example link on my next comment.
Well done my friend,
Martin

Beautiful presentation of this Iris Greg. Purple is my favorite color. Great sharp focus and use of DOF. Keep posting your great photos - I really enjoy your work. Darryl
