P.S. You asked me about the 'high pass filter'. You'll find it at the bottom of the filter menu, under 'other'. Basically, you duplicate the layer you want to sharpen. Run the high pass on the duplicate. Change the blend mode to 'soft light'. Then adjust the opacity to determine the degree of sharpness. I use it a lot - it's a great way of putting a bit of added punch into a picture.
