Tomasz, this is a fantastic shot! I really like the glowing 'smudged' clouds from the time exposure and the imposing feeling of the building given by the angle. The pattern of lighted windows is cool, too - not quite random. Thanks for you comments on my 'power glide' photo (of the old Chevy,) I really appreciate it! I don't have a color version because I shoot my digital IR in black and white mode, but I did post a color shot of a detail of the rusted body...

thanks Andrew,
No there was no PS blurring of the clouds. The shot was taken from a tripod but the day was very windy and plenty of "low" clouds moving quite fast so 3 secs was really enough. Chrysler sounds like a good idea. I needed some good inspiration. I heard that it's really nice inside too. :)

Is the blur in the sky the result of the 3 second exposure or a bit of PS work? I'm suprised at how sharp the entire frame is considering the stop you used. The overall effect is truely splendid, surpassing even your shot of the memorial lights (which was pretty damn fine!). Your next project is my favourite building in the whole world and one that I have never actually seen in the flesh......the chrysler building, If I may request a lovely picture to put on my wall alongside the one by Serge Lurie that my GF brought back form NY last time she was out there. Thank you very much ;-)

I would be tempted to:

eliminate the clouds...

Increase the contrast...

and to serve your first apparent interest...

Place a M-B logo on top!

Thanks all for the comments. It was quite windy in NY over the past couple days with low clouds moving fast, so the 3 sec exposure was enough to give it this mood. Also the top was lighted in clear light which makes the building look so cool IMHO! Like it much better then the usual red, blue and green.
