What an interesting... hm... thing! ;-) Was it a real tree trunk, of wood I mean... or was it a decoration-thing made by machine? Well well, really beautiful! Not just the trunk, the composition is lovely too, and great colours and details! So nice story around the shot as well! That feels so good to make people happy just by "being".
It happened to me about 2 weeks ago, that I was walking in a small forest near a lake. Really beautiful place and I took some photos. Then an old woman (about 75) came and asked what I am taking photos of. I said I just love that wonderful nature etc, and she said that it makes her so happy that I say that because she grew up there and the place means so much to her and it made her so happy to hear that someone appreciated it.
