About The lighting conditions where in the shade next to my sisters house (the model) while sitting on a bench. I did the dof on purpose to soften the face and put more focus on the rosary. I had her makeup run down her face to give the look of crying. The messed up hair to give the look that she has been in a rough situation. Closed eyes to show that she is thinking and praying. I did develop the negative in the darkroom but scanned the negative for this.

Excellent work. I like the emphasis on the hands withe rosary and the entranced face only slightly blurred. Wonderful control of DoF whether intentional or otherwise. Could you provide some more information about the picture, such as where, lighting conditions, etc.?
