Hi Allen,
Magnificent tiger portrait. I think you did well with the metering. That's a huge lens to be carrying around!
I'm a little surprised at the color from the E100VS.....did you desaturate a bit in Photoshop? I think it looks very good, and absent the garrishness that I sometimes get with VS.

Answer to Chris. Yes, the lighting was dificult. My exposure was determined manually based upon several spot-meterings. I would not recomend matrix metering for this type of situation.

Nice capture here but the exposure is a little off I think. Were you using matrix metering? If so maybe if you spot metered off the shadow area to pull in the detail that is lost there.
