Great shot. I like the stepping stones since they frame the reflection.
The colors are vivid.. Good work///

This is a very beautiful image and if I get up to Yorkshire I will look it up. The colours and reflection are excellent and the sky great. The Abbey though looks a little overexposed because of its light colour. This I think is making it look out of focus. Try a little of the PS burn function on the Abbey and some unsharpen filter on the whole image. To me the stepping stones are a big distraction as they take my eye to the left and out of the image. Try cropping just below the reflection and then clone out the remaining stones.

Thanks so much, everyone, for your comments and feedback. In the meantime, I've straightened the slight tilt to the left, cropped a bit, and have done a further curves and contrast adjustment to increase sharpness in the background. The image(IMHO)looks better as a result.
Teunis, I confess I was too unadventurous to cross on the stones myself. (-: I did watch with alarm, though, while a young man crossed, carrying a small child. I kept my camera poised, half expecting him to fall in to the water, but he and his passenger made it safely to the other side. (-:

The lack of sharpness gives it a surreal effect. Maybe another way to look at the image. I like the stones.

Hand held shot? Lack of sharpness distracts from a lovely picture. I used to go here with friends, on our bikes from Leeds, and swim! - Brrrrr!

Beautiful colors and very nice lines that give a great perspective... but just like me: a bit too "soft" :-). Nice work, anyway. Best regards, Alex

Beautiful scene and colours, Donna, and I like the stepping stones. I just feel the background could be a little sharper. Good work nonetheless. Regards, Chris.
