It catches eye. This color and shadows.I think it's some kind of metallic construction. As I am I'd like to turn it to the left...:-)

Great composition. Personally, I like the narrow depth of field .. though the only missing is a sharp focus on one of the grilles.

Can't understand how I missed this one. It has wonderful colours and almost majestic sweeping lines which make a superb abstract. Regards Marie

bjorn, thank you for your comment.
i will try to explain what it is, because i don't know. it is a big technical piece, a sort of a roll used for sortin/crushing trash for recycling. it is about 1,50 m in diameter and 3-4 m long. it obviously was out of use, next to the plant i visited. i am sorry, i can't explain better. i hope it helped anyway.
best regards

A simply great abstract. I can see Diana's point about cropping, but I agree to your vision too, the softness on the side adds to it in a way.
Is there a prize attached to guessing what it is?

This is a crazy mix of lines. I like the different textures between the metal and the shadows. Very interesting and definitely pleasing to the eyes.

as you said, diana, it is a matter of personal taste. but not only, it is also the matter of my intention on one hand and, naturally, what the individual viewer can make of it. your proposal is perfactly allright but not in the sense i see the picture and how i want it to be seen.
thank you very much for your open words.
besos

Diana Cornelissen   {K:26437} 10/27/2003
I like this one Charlie, but without the right part where the unsharp focus is. It is a little distracting. I think if you would crop the photo the composition will be stronger. I know it is all about personal taste with abstracts, no offends I hope.
Regards,
Diana.
