Jim, these are the Chugach moutnains just outside of Anchorage Alaska. There are over 1000 square miles of these mountains. It's looks more like a sea than a range. I shot it last winter when I was Heli-Boarding. This was taken on our last run just as the sun was setting. If you ever get the chance, GO!

This is fantastic. I'd love to see this image with a higher JPEG compression setting. The sky is a bit pixelated as a result of the lower JPEG compression quality. What range is this and where were you when you took it?

Whew? I?m speechless, love the colors, shadows, contrast etc. perfect score in my eyes, I don?t feel comfortable rating most pictures because I?m a amateur but this one is perfect congrats.. Should be editors choice
