About This Brown Bear is photographed on top of Brooks Falls in Katmai National Park in Alaska. He did stay there waiting for some salmon that did'nt want to come. As he was there standing still I thought this would be the right moment to use slow shutter speed 1/15 of a second to soften the water nicely.Lens was Nikon 70-200VR with aperture on F22....Best regards Harry

Excellent! Original (for this site) and very good not only because of the bear but also because of the place that the bear was! Excellent colour composition with the white colour at the background that support very nicely the bear.

That water is fantastic Harry and not a quiver from the bear. The water pressure on the bears legs must be high judging by how much water has passed in 1/15 second. Another for my favourites.

Ciao harry,

Grazie Emanuele

A great nature story enhanced even further by your decision to use the long exposure, something many of us would not have thought to do.
