Palermo... this image really sets the stage for an interesting story with the model, lighting, and pose. To me, the bench is a distraction because it seems somehow flimsy and cheap, incongruous with the rest of the image. I'd like to see this same pose and lighting, but with a prop that carries more weight, perhaps something in concrete or stone. Of course, I'm sure that's what was available at the time - I know how that goes!
This is the kind of work I want to be able to do. I really like the "feel" of this shot. Sorry, I can't describe it better than that...it just makes me feel something inquistive, provocative...it's really a very nicely done photograph.
