the webcam is a this third eye in a room and therefore we shouldnt compare its results too strongly with photography, its a kind of scanner, that watches people living and maybe enjoying life and even if Nonie says look I am dead the webcam says yes. I like the concept. And the result.
Re Hakan, Sorry I disagree with your other statement. Nonie said "me messin round wit the web cam" so I dont think she was trying to get this effect, if she was then... Just to let you know I didnt rate this photo, whoever the 2nd person was should have at least made a comment why they rated it. Personally, I'll give my comments freely but I wont rate a photo, except if its truely exceptional or just a outright waste of d/l time. Plus I dont think I can actually rate a photo until I have donated.
I dont see much artistic skill at all in this picture. It looks like just a snap shot, which it is considering a web cam was used. I recommend the use of a real camera, if its digital at least 1-2mp for web pictures, 4+ for more serious pictures. This picture is blurry, fuzzy and out of focus. Try a cheap $6 throw away from WalMart, it will give you more clearer pictures than a web cam. Dont want to sound mean or anything but its hard to get a good picture, even a snap shot quality, out of a web cam. So try a better camera and keep at those self portraits.
