The tree looks so sad with the limbs hanging like that. You have captured a simple moment beautifully.

Dear Michael this is a wonderful image presented so well. The light is mystical and the little bit of fog in the background makes the tree stand out. The park bench lonely on the other side is inviting to take a seat and feel the calming affects this place can have on an individual. I have photographed many single standing tree images and yours is outstanding. The long branches helps this photo seem calm and serene. You have great shadow detail and the highlights carry alot of information. The image is well exposed and should print with outstanding results. The only thing that makes my eye wonder away from the tree is the little twig in the snow just behind the tire tracks. Its not a bad thing its just my eye somehow always wants to go there. The hills or mountains in the background adds some strength to the image also. There is some good perspective lines in the photo too!! Your toning technique is good. The use of thirds was well done. With the horizon line in the proper third and your main subject off in the right hand third. The water has added even more texture to this image. You have scored well on this fine image and I hope you enjoyed the critique as this is what this site should be doing.
Best regards,

Mark Williams
