About Finaly, this film is over; the sun has gone to bed, and surely so must I. So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye!....:) Well, first of all my appologies of the misuse of the Quote from the Sound of Music. It does not fit with this image, but I couldn't resist myself. Here's the real story: Although I've seen enough sunsets photos to last a me lifetime, I could not resisting shooting a couple, as the extremely vivid colours and firy sky were exactly as they appear in this photo. The air polution in Tehran may be a huge problem, but it also can be held responsible for some unreal effects. Weird thing, though. The magnificence of any sunset and its calming atmosphere almost always vanishes when printed. This series is posted as photographed. No level tweaking, no cheating on colour saturation, and, except for the framing no Photoshop.... Cheers, Hugo

I like the fact that you used a long focal length for this series, this gives a nice big sun :)
When I look at the sequence as a whole, it is a bit surprising that only the last shot shows some details in the buildings (they get lighter although the sun goes down). Well, actually it is not really surprising from a technical point of view... I think you measured light on the sky to get a nice colouring, and for that you need longer exposure in the last shot, making the buildings look brighter. But anyhow something that struck me at first sight.

By the way - thanks for your comment on 'Frozen landscape'. I still had to retrieve the exposure information from my camera for the four rolls of film I shot last weekend, but it's added now :)

Groeten, Lex

Pretty oringe this one! And because you have seen my photos, you surely know that I like to play with tones! Did you use a filter like cokin or this orange was real? As you write, no PSed! Best regtards!

Hello Hugo!

A very nice sunset you created! (Even liked your quote) I like your composition very much and the tones of everything are just wonderful. It's nice to see buildings for a change, I like that!! Reminds me of a city of industry!

The only thing I really don't care for is the orange frame. I think black would have been better (but with a very fine line of orange around the frame first, then the black) But, everyone is different (thankfully)!!!
