Blaine,
Did you try to mount the camera on a tripod or an afocal camera mount. At such high magnification, any movement of the camera translates to a blurred image. Also, the little nick in the bottom leads me to suspect that the image was taken with the moon low in the sky, where atmospheric turbulence is at its worst. Good attempt, but with a little more patience, you can improve your results dramatically.

Great moon shot! I have a similiar shot ( several actually) taken a few months ago through my son's telescope. Yours is better though! Good job.

Wow...great shot, we took the same shot on the same night (I guess).... yours is a bit brighter though ... I had a brighter one but it was a little out of focus. Im In Texas where are you cause your moon is 180 Deg different from mine..... Regards Stuart. http://www.usefilm.com/image/323163.html

Nice shot, I was looking at Jupiter and 3 of its' moons tonight; started looking at the moon as well, but the moon was really bright through my scope, almost too bright, so I looked at a setting Saturn instead.
