if war ever ended there, we would have peace in the world. lets keep the barriers up between those peoples. war is peace. truth is lies. and so on.

Hi Ian, very creative and you produced something which with the extra notes freezes an important sentiment for the future, I guess the aluminium smelter didn't get built so someone must have been listening (or maybe it just went somwhere less troublesome!). Cheers, and I really appreciated your comment, I do try to say something of value but it's not always possible and time allows me to get to only the tiniest fraction of shots. I will look out for more of your stuff from such a wonderful part of the world. Regards, Ian

Hi Ian,thanks for your comments on my portfolio. I live in Roslyn and can see Waikari from my lounge. Small world a!. I know this view very well, on the road above Port. Often thought of doing something here but you know, other things to do. Come along to the Dunedin Photographic Society meeting. Next meeting is on Monday 5th April in the Otago Museum at 7.30 pm. Cheers John

Nice to hear from you Sean. When I came here I had no idea either but was struck by the vitriol in old graffiti painted all over the place. A tree has grown over the rest of the message since I first saw it (STOP IT) In the 1970's I think it was, there existed a plan to stick an aluminium smelter at the mouth of the harbour (Aramoana).

Brilliant composition and placement of the text, the two power poles and two roads some how resinate with this. I'm distant to what's going on in your part of the world so I'm not sure what "Stop It" means?
