Really odd and interesting....Myles, as far as becoming a graphic artist-- that is what I do, I make a living doing it (among other things) and I am completely self-taught. Get the programs, read the books, and experiment. learn. Take a class if you want to/need to, but there is no substitute for hands-on training. offer to do projects for friends that will teach you how to do things...it takes a lot of work, but it is worth it!
