About This is a shot of my son and my parents when he came home from his "all expense paid trip to Iraq," Courtesy of ol Dubya. This is a small National Guard unit which sent 150 soldiers to Iraq with 30 coming home with "Purple Heart" awards for injuries sustained in combat. My son has brought home several shots of "Beautiful Downtown Bahgdad" I will upload these at a later time.

Sometimes the subject matter and emotion outweigh the technical ... this is one of those times. Good to see him back, and the pride and love (no pun) on your parents' faces is vivid. Well done, Russell, thanks for sharing this! (Please tell him "thank you" from us.)

Hey man! I sure am glad to see this photograph. Technically not the best, but one of the happier photos I have seen in a long time.

Good to see that he is in 1 piece! Man...this is the first photo I looked at this morning and it sure did bring a smile to my face. You can feel the happiness in this one. Thanks for posting this one Russell!

Ron,

Thank you for your comment about my son coming home. It was indeed a moving moment. Hopefully other families will enjoy the same as I have and have their loved ones return safe and alive.

Later my friend,

Russ

This pic is tribute to the phrase "a picture tells a 1,000 words". I see so much behind the faces. It is really moving.
Welcome home, Love.
