Hi, if anyone looks at this photo, I think it needs help (at least as an online photo!!!). I took the shot with some very fast Neopan film so it is a really grainy image to begin with. I have printed this photo in the darkroom and gotten some really nice results(won a competition even!! Happy days!). My problem is that I can't seem to get the contrast balanced effectively with Photoshop (water here is a lot grayer than in my handprinted images). Is it a problem of the photo or a problem of me?? It takes a hell of a lot of work in the darkroom to get the image out well too. Anyway, any comments or hints would be much appreciated.
I kind of like it the way it is. It has a serene delicate beauty. The blurred movement of the swans is like a graceful dance. I think it is really soft and pretty.
