Back about the rating....just in case you're interested:
This photo went 0.1 up (4.8 now 4.9)-It had 7 ratings (8 now after mine)
Embryo went 0.3 up (4.0 now 4.3)-It had 4 ratings (5 now)
Eclipse went 0.2 up (4.3 now 4.5)-It had 4 ratings (5 now)
Unless they take into consideration the number of comments or of views, the latest two make no sense. Whatever formula they use for the calculation, I'd be curious to know it.
Linn has turned off the rating option, I'll be following soon unless they come out with a logic explaination

Hi Robert
Your lunar eclipse shots are a very good documentary series. I think this is the best of the three and the poor quality is due to several factors that couldn't be helped like for example the poor natural light and composition of the air
I like these shots regardless the quality. I'm going to rate all tree with a 6 even if this one is better than the others, if you don't mind. I'm curious to see what happens....I'll get back to you about this.

Robert,

I tend to prefer shorter exposures on the partial phases, but this captures the colors...

Blazej, I was trying everything possible, but all manual focus. I chose these three images for their effect, so they may not all be "true to life". As the eclipse progressed there was very little light and the longer exposure time allowed the moon to move quite a bit. During one shot at 3 sec it moved about 0.5mm on the LCD display!

quality is not so good, did You use a autofocus ?.
In thise situation it is good to use a manual focus and "at the point" light metering, well if You did so i can't tell what went wrong then. best regards
