Thanks again Barry and hope the weather shines for you this w/end. Brecon only an hour from me so who knows might be there myself and bump into you. Regards Steve

Another great sunset from a great location - wonderful composition. We're off to Breacon this weekend so I hope I get a couple of sunsets like this! Great work.

Thanks Deb,John, Jeroen and all for your comments, much appreciated. Think this might have suffered somewhat with compression as i did not use usm and Jeroen yes i did use a ND grey grad. Regards Steve.

Stephen,

this one's a beauty.

I guess you used a ND Grad Grey?

Minor comment: it looks as it's a bit too hard handled by the usnharp mask tool.

Compliments,
Jeroen

This is simply gorgeous and goes in my favorites. Great color, composition, and sharpness.

As for the halos, they often appear if/when you oversharpen with usm - and it usually doesn't take much of a change in the settings to get them out. I bet the original is stunning. :)

Hi Ken, no need to apologise, thanks for pointing it out to me, shall have to take a closer look next time before uploading. Regards Steve.

Sorry Steve, I guess I assumed that in Photoshop you had selected (with the magic wand, perhaps) the regions with the white outlines, and altered them, since that can produce just this sort of outlining effect. Maybe it is from compression; I'm no expert on this sort of thing.

Thanks Ken for your comment and for pointing out the white lines, all i did was to adjust the levels slightly and on original photo a feint orange glow appears on the top left mountain so can only think that something has occurred in compression. Steve.

Really nice composition and colors, but something happened in Photoshop to make those unwanted white lines along the earth/sky boundary. Maybe greater use of the "feather" function would help this.
