THE TREE
The tree reaches out to the light
Always reaching high
Never giving up
It,s branches gathering the light
By the sun in the day
By the moon in the night
As if praying for something above
As if asking for it,s own kind of love
Mayby thirsting for cool summer rain
Quenching the dryness, relieving the pain
Yet always outreached
As if painting the sky
The silhouette of this tree
Never willing to die....
