Thanks for the comment. Light pollution is not too bad where I live. Unfortunately it is slowly getting worse as our city is trying to grow into a big city.

Wonderful picture! I discovered some similar camera techniques with taking pictures through a microscope lens. You must live in an area with little light pollution?

Kevin,
Very good capture, especially for an afocal image. Good contrast for a full moon. Try snapping a few near a quarter phase when there are more shadows to bring out the craters.

Hello Guido, I set my telescope to track the moon, focused the telescope and then held my Nikon Coolpix 885 up to the eyepiece and used the cameras manual focus feature to focus and then snapped the pic. Focus was very close so I only had to sharpen the image a little in Photoshop. Thanks for the comment.
