Thanks Naftali... yes, it would be nice to have the feet included. And the fence you are talking about, well I cropped that off in the camera when I took the image. I guess that is one drawback of composing/editing a scene in the camera instead of later on in the computer.

nice catch of an interesting character! you are a quick draw! IMHO, the shallow dof works very well - gives a hint of the city but allows you to focus on the subject. but - arrrgh- the cut feet do bother me, though i still like the image. may be it would look better with the offending fence? obscured feet is different from cut feet that have nowhere to go.

Like this very much. Sometimes I wonder why people comment on stuff like "cutting off feet" because if you go past the moment waiting for the perfect shot you don't get expressions like this. Bravo....

I definitely think that this photo would be a better photo than the city. You don't get the opportunity to take photos like that often. It's almost like the bird was posing for the camera. It's one of those photos that you don't plan to take, but turns out to be one of the best.

Hugo, thanks for the comments.. yes not much time to compose. As I replied to Carmem, the feet were cut off because there was a part of a fence (to stop people from jumping off haha) that blocked my view of his feet... also, I wanted to get all of the chrylser building in the image...even though it was out of focus. thanks again...
