the vibrant colors are outstanding. i do like the cropping you've chosen, the tight cropping give a nice focus on the flower.

Great colors! It's a little tight above and below, so it would be better opened up to a square type of composition. Depth-of-field-wise, I think it's just right.

Well, I'm on the side of a little more depth of field -
-OR-
a slight change of angle, simply because the big blob of yellow at center right distracts *just* a itty bit. If there had been more transition between focus and unfocus, I wouldn't have felt quite as jarred.

Or maybe you want jarred. dunno. Won't be the first time I missed the point, right?

Magnificent colors! Keep shooting this marvelous stuff, Eric!

Incredible. It's was worth waiting for you to post again. The selective focus works well.
The colors just knocked my socks off.

Thanks Everyone! And MS, I have been very neglectful of my cams lately, but am slowly regaining interest... Hopefully there will be more uploads soon.

Actually, I think that the DOF is just right. Velvia who? hehehe

Very creative to see your work with isolated focus! The colors add so much energy. I'm slightly mesmerized by the image, but a millimeter or two more DOF might be interesting too.

It is great to see you posting, especially flowers.

it would've been a fantastic shot if the focus is not too narrow in my opinion.
