Hi Kim, at first this looks like an image but on a second look it feels more like a flash of the history between the two girls. So many histories can be inspired by it, and that's fantastic. Not much to comment on the rest. Tones, focus, depth of focus.. This is one of those images that we create where everything fits so well that we wonder if we'll ever do something similar again. Congratulations for such an inspiring image! Regards from Brazil,
Jose Azevedo

This is good art! I don't think I can make any suggestions on how to improve this shot. I could write a whole short story off of this shot. The dynamic elements are numerous. Add in a little Freudian interpretation, and the imagination runs wild!
I am going to give my very first Usefilm "7" for this one. Grand work and a pleasure to view.
Regards Matt

I like this image very much for the composition and for the good use of the DOF. Stunning the black of the hair, it give a more strong key of interpretation to a portrait that otherwyse was too smooth in the tones.

to me this picture personifies the vulnerability, hurt and insecurities of youth, truly a beautiful and emotional photograph, this is really amazing work, the soft tones and perfect DOF along with an amazing composition give this technical superiority as well.

Wow! If can a picture tells a thousand words, this one starts a novel. I'll have to agree with John, and it's very odd that John Ford was the first thing that came to my mind as well. Great emotion captured in this image. The depth of field choice with the younger girl looking back in uncertainty. The young woman here knees drawn up. It makes you want to know what happened. You can see the hurt in her eyes and you want to help. I've never had an image almost make me cry til now. Great work. Robin
