I'd like to thank Janna, Adobe, Larry, the healing brush, the dodging tool, the burning tool, the channel mixer, the gaussian blurrer, the layers dialog, the opacity slider, and Allah.
I see Bill's point about there being some sort of disconnect between the woman and the background. I'm not sure it bothers me, though.
What jumps out at me, especially from the thumbnail, is the contrasty look you have achieved. The combination of the contrast with the very angular lineaments in the background (rafters, tables, etc.) it gives this photo a very wood block print feeling.
For whatever reason, I like that presentation. It doesn't have the soft romance of your other recent portraits, but it has a very direct and strong style.
And, again, the subject is gazing directly into the lens. There is no disconnect of the subject with the viewer. Really nice!
Hey Terry, nice expression but methinks you may have overdone the sharpening on the young lady. She looks like she was cut and pasted onto the scene or she was standing in front of an out of focus photo of a greenhouse.
Excellent work Terrence. The composition is super and the lady is very pretty indeed :-) Great job in desaturating the image, dodging and burning - the result is super !
