Oh wow!! Thankyou ever so much James. I look forward to being able to chat with you more. BTW, I am impressed that you had the guts to give up everything and go after your passion. I wish more people would.

"We are all joined together in one way or another..." and because we're unique, we don't mesh perfectly.

I love your work and your comments about it. I'll be back to look through the rest of your portfolio.

Great to spot the photo opp, and well taken. love the fact that bits don't quite come together in places, as you say 'we all joined together in one way or another' but not always in perfect symetry

Thankyou Serge. would you believe the first frame I tried was the same shape as the roof but because of the layout of the roof, it accentuated the uneven lines and really didn't come off too well....so I went with this frame style instead.

Unusual view. From my point of view experimenatal variant more interesting. B/w is good also.
There is an opportunity to make frame with the same shape...

Yep, our own limits or our own ability in contortionism. How are you willing to postion yourself to get the shot, or should I rephrase how flexible are you to be able to get that shot....hmmmm!!

Yes this is a nice idea Judi, many buildings have so many different roof interiors, that we are only liminted by our imaginations, right? Beautiful capture of this one.

Manu I am pleased you like it. I actually prefer it also, so thankyou for making me do that. All I did, was add a glitterato layer with a Kyoto adjustment finished with a burn. Too easy.

Thankyou Den. I tried lying on my back underneath it but I couldn't fit it all in. So I balanced the camera on the ground pointing upwards and tried to centre it. This was the result. I did crop some of the edges off because as you can appreciate, without seeing what I was doing properly I did get a bit of unwanted excess in the photo.

PS I knew you wouldn't be offended...feel free to not offend mine.

Okay Ameed I have now moved it to the abstract section. I did a different version for another viewer which you will see amongst the comments. Have a look at that. I then took that same addition and greyscaled it as you will see attached to your comment. Let me know what you think.

Fantastic Judi. From the thumbnail I thought it was a patterned dish of some sort. Surprise, surprise when I opened it up. Tremendous composition, love the symmetry. I think your feeling that it's not square is an optical illusion caused by the white trunking not being horizontal. You must have been dead centre below it. Well done.

Hi Judi, I like this shot. it reminds me of a decoration my grandmother used to make with dowls and yarn. I belive they called them God's eyes.

I like it very much , the geometry is amazing and you compose it very well.
I like that the aluminium sheets over the wooden parts are radial too, not in one direction, this needs a skilled labour and a sense of form. (7)

Yes Ferdinand, our paths cross many, many times and in that journey they become quite tangled, bending previous paths as they go.

Thankyou Cagatay. I fumbled around with this one, working out which angle looked best. It was a difficult image to decide on as it isn't square.

I love this, excellent eye and wonderful architectural detail. The message and symbolism this peice carry are of great value, wonderful "about".

I like the fact that's it's not quite straight/symmetrical at the centre - it's the kind of 'flaw' that makes life interesting, and perhaps symbolises the imperfections in the way we are joined. Great photo.
