No it is a paid shoot. The company is called underglam, and they are out of LA. I did have to drive out there on my own cash and shoot the test shots to show them that I could do it, but they will be paying me to go out in May, so it will make up for the time and money I've spent trying to get the Job. Moving from TFP shoots to Paid shoots is very difficult, and I still to TFP or TFCD shoots regularly just to keep my portfolio fresh and to keep in practice, but hopefully soon I'll have enough work that I wont need to do that anymore.

Ben,
Will this be paid work then or something for your own portfolio as such?
I'm asking all these questions as it's interesting to find out teh move from shooting friends & family etc to paid models - seeing who provides the clothes, who's in charge of make-up etc.
There must be a transitional time when you stop having teh model do their own make up and providing their own clothes and it becomes your job to sort this out! Just can't figure how this is done if not a paid job - does it come from ones own pocket or do you find make up artists, stylist etc to work with - any tips here would be appreciated.

The quality is poor because I have people poach my shots off the internet once in a while, so I lower the quality. The test shot was to determine the model. No makeup no hair and only a couple minutes just to see how the model reacts to the camera and how the clothing fits her. I do the acctual shoot in May, so when I do it, I'll put some of the real shots up on Usefilm. Then you will see a difference. Cheers,

Ben

Ben,
Could you let me know the reasons behind the test shot?
Is it to determine lighting, pose, composition?? I've often wondered this and would often like to see the shots that follow the test - do you have any?
The shot overall is pleasing, quality is poor though and with that kick arse camera I'm surprised.

Lovely face. Lovely figure. In many respects, a great shot. I do agree with Uri about the 'cropping' - if that's actually what it is.

well, pretty good for a test shot but i don't like the cropping. i think the way you cut her hand and legs is unflattering.
Uri.
