Very nice curves, well lighted in opposition with the dark mountains, maybe I would have tried a different composition, without the branch (I try to imagine only the path and the lonely tree), but it?s not really distracting. Thanks for your comment and happy new year!!! Max

You know.. after I look at them together now, I'm not so sure it is better. I think I like the original just as it is, better. Go figure!

I'm really shocked you didn't get more comments on this. I'm appalled that I didn't see it. Many times I get in late at night and barely have time to view just the friends pics.. This is gorgeous! The lighting is great, the exposure spot on! You have the eye following the road up over the hill to that beautiful tree with it's lovely pink hues.. However, I think that the tree branch overhead, instead of framing this, distracts from what could be a very powerful image. I did a hasty cloning ( and I'm terrible at it) just to show you how much more impressive it would have been had you not included it. I hope you don't mind my opinions. I'm no expert, but I am a woman, and you know how opinionated we can be :)

Wow - this is excellent! Very nicely observed and captured. That dark sky, yet apparently the sun is shining! AJ
