About this is my first pic that is comprised of two negatives sandwiched together and then exposed... not a perfect result but i liked it anyway...if one wants to see smt much more elaborate and more harmonious result, i would suggest the following excellent (for me)images:
http://www.usefilm.com/image/646545.html
http://www.usefilm.com/image/650482.html

secondly, i wanted to end this year with an "experiment" photo (and not with a "regret") as a token for next year and to wish to all of You to be more free to experiment and discover new things (and not only in photography) with an open mind...

A very very Happy New Year!!!!! :)

dear dear John... thanks so much for your words... apparently you catch up with Greek really quick!!!! ha ha... "ekstatikos" is a very strong word and i am most flattered to read it... it comes from "ekstasis" which means the complete absorbsion of the spirit by/into a single idea... kind of metaphorically speaking is the utmost admiration... hence i really have to thank you (hope you meant it that way as well... ha ha ha... but i am keeping it anyway!!!) and i hope you have decided what your new year is going to be about!!!! lots of kisses... emy )

I hope you do know that it can be bad luck to be superstitious - but even so, I think it was a very good idea to end on an experimental note! :-) The concept here reminded me of one of my own (which was also inspired by Jeanette b.t.w.): http://www.usefilm.com/image/332005.html - ways to express the process of thought on film. I think the sandwich works very well and I also like the little detail that is suggestive of a figure on the right hand side.

To me....the ecstasy of S.Teresa through Dali's eyes.

Ekstatikos!

Happy New Year, Emy. Your picture has me thinking what I want mine to be about.

What a wonderful way to end the year-or as they say for each end is a new beginning. Very beautiful and dreamy piece, she appears to have a wonderful talent-that being surrounded by chaos she still has the ability to find peace. Well done Emily, and a Happy New Year to you~

Emy,
This is great! You did this in the darkroom, difficult to do (I do know). Photoshop would have been easier but perhaps less challenging. Check out Jerry Uelsmann - he was a master in darkroom manipulation.

http://www.andrewsmithgallery.com/exhibitions/jerryuelsmann/index.htm

Every photo was done in the wet darkroom.
