This is our first, but hopefully not last meeting on the pages of "Usefilm", Mr. Aldridge. In your bio you give a personal statement about being new to photography, but the page you posted so far seems to belie this, as many of your photos are very, very beautiful, some conveying a message, such as your "fading sting", which I believe has also symbolic meaning, like your WWI photos, others the present one included, resembling paintings more than photos and I liked that very much. When first meeting a new UF friend I try to comment on the photo that friend poted last. This is because many times that photo is a representative of quite a few of his other photos. In your case I made an exception, because I could not resist the way you turned out this painting-like photo of your brother in law. You are, of course, invited to read my bio and pay further visits to my portfolio. In the meantime I thank you for your kind comment on my "Light from within 5." Best regards, Dr. Rafael (Rafi for future communications) Springmann
Very nice picture Andrew. With the background it gives more cachet to the image. It is a very nice bike, Suzuki Hayabusa 1300 CC, a very nervous one! Best regards Guy
