Dear Larray... You are right... There are other birdies... Well that demonstrates that seeing the little cardinal absorbs so much the atention... I was not aware of the others existence... :)

Cheers,

KaLuisa

The light usually is poor, it is away from what little winter sun we get, I need to learn to do the levelsas couple of people have mentioned.

Judi, Chris Wenzel upped the levels and added bit of contrast and saturation to this. See his comment on this one .

Even you missed the 5 birds that are in this shot, not just one my friend.

You were gonna prompt me with the levels when you find time.

Thanks for your painting of my "eagle", its neat!!

Also thanks for email reply, appreciate it!!

Great job Larry!!!

Excellent capture of a lost little bird, hoping to find some food amongst the coating of snow.

Chris, Thanks for doing this, this shot was behind my home, a dull winter day with little light. i did lighten it and raise contrast a bit, but that was it.
I like what you did, thanks.

Larry,
Nice shot, and good timing to get the cardinal with it's head turned. One question though, did you do any post-processing work in PhotoShop? I ask because there seems to be a slight color cast and general out-of-the-camera feel to this. Not sure about your Sony, but all of the Canons I have used require some post-processing to bring the picture to life (or at least back to where it should be).

I hope you don't mind, but I spent a few seconds adjusting the levels and contrast in PS, and also increased the saturation just a touch to bring out the red in the cardinal.

I was so aware of the cardinal, I didn't even see the other birds, and then they sort of popped out of the picture..really cool :-)
