Edward: I appreciate your kind comments. Thank you. I somehow managed to get the exposure right on this one, at least in getting the look I wanted. I used the in-camera for this although I still sometimes use an incident meter. I used to use an M3 as my main camera and always carried a hand held meter... sometimes reflective, sometimes incident. Oftentimes, however, I simply used the sunny 16 method which becomes fairly easy once you get accumstomed to it. As for filters I keep a Leica UV filter on my lens, mainly for protection as I don't like to use a lens cap. Thanks again.

Dennis, Congratulations on your beautiful portfolio. I love this particular pitcure because of the balance of the dof and the shutter time. The people of frozen but just barely so they are slightly blurred. The contast range of the film is used and shown. The street light seems to be burning during daytime. The shadows are beautiful. The detail in the balconies. I cannot even choose what I like best in the picture. The technical exposure and beautiful print, the composition and your eye for detail or your feel of the 'decisive moment'. I am a recent M6 user. I hope you don't mind the following question; Do you use an incident type light meter and do you use filters? Thanks. Edward van Herk (member)

Nice perspective and strong contrasts, nicely composed with the shadows, contrast well controlled excepted the completely black part at the rhs. Maybe there are some reserves in there which you can activate by adjusting the curves, some very few and tiny little details there would make it perfect !
