Nice idea, the dof is nice. You can still see some features of the man even though he is blurred. Nice toning, well done~

This has a nice feel to it. I have used this method and the couples seem to like it. I haven't tried it with a really fast lens tho. Skin tones, and over all colour tone are really nice as is the lighting. Nice.

k...I just realized my mistake...it is a blurry image of the man, and now I realize this is the husband. So let me revise my comment. This being the husband, it evokes a different set of emotions...but I still think it is a wonderful depiction of love.

This picture is worth a 1000 words. Wonderful depiction of a father's love for his daughter. Bravo!

Wonderful outcome Samuel! Just love the way Wife appears so sharp in front of her husband (Peter?). Very nice DOF. Btw, I went to Bandung last week, but forgot to take some of the Puncak's picture..... Tried in the next few weeks....

A beautiful, intimate, trusting portrait of this lady, Samuel.
But in this instance the fellow in the background distracts from the beauty, the attention, the woman commands.
I imported the picture and cropped him out? and it confirmed (for me at least) my initial assumption.
Of course her left shoulder and hair are missing from what could be, I think, a classic, and beautifully lighted first rate portrait.
Cheers
C

Hi Samuel,

again an excellent photograph with a strong expression and a real fine composition. Very good postprocessing.

I would like to see the man a little bit more clearly, but keep him out of focus as you have done.

I like everything about this Samuel. The composition. The shallow DOF. The tones and above all the strong eye contact. I bet she loves this image. Regards John
