I personally like the grainy effect, which gives the shot an Antique look. I tried again to work on the grainy face and using filter/noise/dust and scratches got this effect. I messed up on the upper lip, sorry. I hope you don't mind, i like to practice on PS since i don't have a good grasp of it. Alison

Aw, I feel special that you spent time on my photo. =)
Looks similar to what I tried to do when I began photoshopping it. I liked how you made my lips pop out of the pic. I guess the drawback to adding light, is the added noise. I had tried something very similar when I made the whole picture golden…which was a way to brighten the photo (in a way that won’t bring too much noise), and also make the lips the focus of the photo.

I took the liberty of working on this photo even though i really like the way you have posted it. I went to levels and lightened it a bit and then selected the face to take color out of it and added color to the lips. what do you think. ?

I like this just the way it is....
Very lovely and suductive with the
red tones....Have you ever heard of
or used the program Neat Image?
Its a great little program to use
for reducing noise which might help
you out. It a free download that you
can save only to jpg. However if you
like it you can buy the full version.
Im still using the free version which
works just fine for me.

Nice Shot. you have a special vision. you can improve your techniques and photography by visiting photos you like and get more ideas and learn techniques.
as the first point I can suggest you to provide sufficient light for photography. this could be daylight. daylight+fals or different kind of light...take care of shadows.
