About Shot this morning on the way to work, at stoney point. if you could see thorough the bokeh, you would see in the background 2 deer bedded down about 50 feet behind this bird.
I find it so relaxing to spend time with natures creatures, its a great "unwinder" before I get to the office and once again try to "Win one for the gipper "

Nice and sharp. Good dof and focus.

If you're like me Jim, different senses kick in when you're in that environ and I love it beyond description. How can anyone not want to get out to that wonderful feeling when they see such magnificent shots as this. Outta this world.

Wow great detail....I have never got a Chickadee shot to come out this clear..not even close.
I think this is a Black-Capped Chickadee.

Rob, this shot from the van not the best but servicable. When I drove up I saw a deer standing and closer inspection showed 1 also still bedded.
Look deepeer into my portflio and you will find shots I took with the D70 and 300MM f4 last summer where the deer was crowding the minimum focus distance !

Nice shot Jim . How did you get so close to 2 bedded Deer ? Wow . BTW , I agree completely with your comment about nature being a great "unwinder" . This is the primary reason that I spend as much time out in the forest as I do .

Chris
Haven't you heard about the 48 hour rule ?? You bring it home and if she doesn't discover it within 48 hours, it becomes part of the kit which you have had for a long time !!
There is a radio program here in the state called " Garage Logic " that is one of thier rules.
its all in fun, and I don't believe in deception.
That said always remember " Its easier to obtain forgiveness than permission "
