If Dylan is the Michelangelo of photographers, Andrew is the Caravaggio. His works are so passionate and sensual. Some almost breathtaking... like this self portrait. I can't take my eyes off from his piercing look, a cross between a modern satyr, a sensual devil, a tortured soul, a great artist. Just like Caravaggio.

This is one of what I call Mister Caldwell's "Survivor" self-portraits. A handsome and witty young man, every now and then he takes a picture like this of himself--revealing--who knows?--his real self? Another side? A fantasy? An ambition? A fear? Such are the magical ambiguities of photography, an art falsely believed to show things as they are.
