My, that is one DINOSAUR of a sail! Glad I'm not there! (Though to be fair, Fiji is supposed to have some wild windsurfing...)
It does come across as a holiday brochure type image: professional but perhaps a little bland - for some reason the brochures always (except for the highly specialised ones) seem to feature equipment that comes out of the stone age.
(Love this new UF sidebar that puts up random images - hence my arrival here...)
All the best, John

This is a lovely shot - wish I was there. I'm not so keen on the border though - I know it is to add a dream like quality, and it works well on the left hand side of the picture, but on the right hand side - where there are more 'objects' I found it distracted my attention away from the photo - might just be me and my little attention span though!

Hi Pete thanks for your comment - in answer to your question - photo was taken with a simple point & shoot Nikon Coolpix 4300 - no filters and no enhancement.
The only PS work is the soft border and the cloning out of a person walking on the beach. No colour or contrast tweaks at all. For a P&S, the colour quality of the nikon has always been outstanding (and one of the reasons I bought it)
Hopefully my shots going forward will be even better - since I'm now using the Canon
Thanks again
Steve

Wow such vibrant colours! Has the image been enhanced or did you use filters to bring out the colours? My attempts at beach photography often end up glared out by the harsh light.
Well done!
Pete

Mmm, now I am dreaming. My mind just keep on saying "wish you were here!". Never been to Fiji. This shot should be in a Travel magazine. Thanks for sharing, Steve. Cheers, Art
