Impeccable timing Jim to capture the white water at the crest of the wave AND the piercing light. The image portays perfectly the power of water too. I have seen what it can do to 12 x 30 ins steel girders.

YOu are so right, it was the end of the day and as I watched the waves I could see that if they were high enough the setting sun going down behind the trees would still bathe the water with light. I know I have taken 10,000 photos at this spot and many many are in the round file ;-) thanks for your comment and keen eye

Beautiful capture of the breaking wave, Jim! You're timing was perfect to catch the crest moving along the top of the wave, and the blowing spray. Awesome colours, too.
